Node Not Connecting Via casa-node.local

Built into the Casa Node is a unique function where you can use a specific URL to connect to your node . In our case, the URL is:

http://casa-node.local

Please note that's "http" and not "https."

Unfortunately, because of some network setups, typing http://casa-node.local into your browser doesn't always take you to your node's dashboard. If that's the case, it's okay. You can also access your dashboard by typing or pasting your node's IP address directly into your browser.

Not sure what the IP address of your Casa Node is? We won't fault you! There are two easy ways to find it:

1) Angry IP Scanner: https://angryip.org/  (Recommended)

Angry IP will scan your local network and tell you what devices are on it. You should see a device named "casa-node.local". Your node's IP address will be listed next to this. Type the IP address into your browser URL bar. If your Casa Node dashboard shows up, you've got the correct IP address.

For visual instructions on how to find your node's IP using Angry IP, you can check out our Node setup tutorial, and skip ahead to 3:20:

2) Manual Search

For this, you'll need to plug a monitor and keyboard into your Casa Node. Once you've connected the monitor via an HDMI cable, and connected your keyboard, you'll have access and control to the Casa Node's CLI (Command Line Interface).

When prompted for credentials, enter the following:

username: casa

password: casa

Your node's IP address should show during boot-up.

Please note that if you've created a custom URL for your Casa Node, you will not be able to access your dashboard.
