Health Checks in Keymaster

Health Checks in Keymaster are an easy way to verify that your keys are available for signing transactions. It's a way to test the integrity of your setup without needing to actually send a transaction. Currently, you can do a health check for both your Mobile Key and the Hardware Device Key.

Performing a Health Check for your Mobile Key checks for two things:

- Checks to ensure the Mobile Key is on your phone

- Check to ensure the Mobile Key is properly backed up

We recommend doing health checks on your setup at least 4 times per year!

Here's a video tutorial on how to perform health checks in Keymaster:

Written Instructions:

To perform a Health Check for your Mobile Key, simply tap the Mobile key icon, then tap "Heath Check."

Hardware Device Key Health Check

Performing a Health Check for your Hardware Device Key prompts you to connect your Hardware Device to create a signature, so you will need access to your Hardware Device (Trezor or Ledger) to complete the Health Check.

To perform a Health Check for your Hardware Device Key, simply tap the Hardware Device Key icon, then tap "Heath Check."

This will send an email to you, with instructions for connecting the hardware device and adding a signature to verify that it's actively available for signing a real transaction.
