What is the Casa app?

The Casa app is an easy-to-use, advanced multisig storage solution for holding digital assets long term.

The most secure way to store digital assets is by eliminating single points of failure through multisig security, where a vault is composed of multiple keys, and more than one of them needs to be used to send funds. Casa makes setting up multisig as easy and secure as possible.

Is Casa a custodian?

No. We are not a custodian of funds, because we don't ever hold enough keys to send funds from your keyset. We only hold one key in your vault, which is meant to be used in an emergency situation in which one of your other keys is lost or stolen.

Why use multisig?

As mentioned above, the most secure way to store digital assets is by eliminating single points of failure through multisig security.

With single-signature solutions, if your key is lost or stolen, so are your funds. Multisig means that even if a key is lost or stolen, you can still use the other keys to recover your funds.

The Casa app is an advanced, guided storage solution for holding digital assets long term.

Casa Pay, available with the Free membership, is a unique and secure storage solution that doesn't involve backup seeds or trusting your funds to any 3rd party. It's the next best thing to multisig.

The 3-key vault, the main feature of our Standard membership, secures your funds with three geographically-distributed keys. Any time you want to send a transaction, you need to sign with two of them.

The 5-key vault, included in our Premium membership and for our Private Clients, secures your funds for yourself, your family, or your team with five keys, three of which need to sign to send funds.
